Vermont Update 4: History, Pizza, and Fellowship

We woke up bright and early to drive to Bennington, where we had the opportunity to serve the community with free coffee — such a fun and meaningful way to start the day! After that, we visited the First Church and the monument, taking in some of the local history. Next, we enjoyed some delicious pizza with the pastor’s family, which was such a sweet time of fellowship. Then we headed to the rescue center to lend a hand with a variety of tasks, including folding coloring pages for school visits, sweeping floors, and doing some yard work. Afterwards, we made our way to a housing community, where we helped clean their community center. Once we wrapped up, we returned to the church to relax and hang out for a bit. Some of us grabbed coffee — highly recommend the maple latte! To end the day on a high note, we had a potluck dinner with some members of the church. It was such a special way to connect and share a meal together.
