Scotland Update 1: Travels & Introductions

We finally made it to Glenrothes in Scotland! After our flight was cancelled Thursday due to high winds in Amsterdam, our team ended up traveling in two groups. One group flew through Paris, and the other had two connections through Chicago and Amsterdam. The second group’s connection to Amsterdam was delayed, but they were able to sprint and make the flight to Scotland!

After we connected in Scotland, Matthew, the pastor of Glenrothes Baptist Church, drove us to The Bridge Cafe. This was a great and surreal experience, because we’ve heard about the cafe and seen pictures for months leading up to the trip. It was busy today, and it offered a great time for us to meet church members and start building relationships while sharing a meal. 

We talked about the week ahead, and we’re excited to start by attending a church service tomorrow where Pastor Nathan is preaching.
