Job Objective

  • Provide a loving environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

 

Qualifications – Education, experience, training, and technical skills necessary for position.

  • Classroom experience with preschool age children required, preferably as a lead teacher in an educational environment.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, a team player, flexible, must be creative and energetic.
  • Must adhere to Hebron’s Statement of Faith.
  • Personal conduct must be in accordance with Biblical standards as applicable for this position.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide a creative, nurturing, and loving learning environment to help stimulate proper child development.
  • Creating and implementing daily classroom plans.
  • Creating parent newsletters, classroom calendars, and schedules.
  • Facilitate parent conferences.
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills.
  • Attend to individual needs of preschool children as needed, including but not limited to diapering and/or personal hygiene (depending on age of children).
  • Assist in carpool, and other areas as needed.

 

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to interact with children by getting up and down from the classroom floor numerous times a day and sitting on the floor with the children during learning centers.
  • Must be able to lift children as needed.
  • Must attend to hygiene of preschoolers as needed.
  • Monitoring the playground and gym by walking around during recess and interacting with the children. This includes walking to and from the playground (slight incline) as well as walking on mulch (uneven ground).
  • Assisting children in the bathroom as needed.
  • Walking in halls with the children to and from other classrooms.
  • Some lifting required: Assisting with carpool (loading and unloading children from cars).
  • Carry basket with classroom toys and art supplies.
  • Assist with fire drills (be able to evacuate children safely and quickly during drills). This also includes going downstairs if the alarm activates while in the gym.

 

Hebron Personnel Policy:

  • Except as noted below, all employees are required to be members of Hebron Baptist Church and are expected, along with their family members, to be active in the various ministries of Hebron.
  • All employees are required to be faithful tithers to the Lord’s work through Hebron Baptist Church. Tithing is the practice of giving ten percent of one’s income to the Lord through the Church.
  • Approval may be given by the Administrative Pastor on a case-by-case basis to non-exempt employees that may serve in Operations, Weekday Preschool and Paid Childcare not meeting the above criteria. In these cases, the employee will be required to be a Christ Follower and an active member of an approved Bible-believing church of similar doctrinal beliefs.
  • Every employee of Hebron Baptist Church must sign a Hebron Baptist Church Statement of Faith.
  • Every employee of Hebron Baptist Church must be equipped to share their Christian testimony, to pray and to minister to those in need.
