Guatemala Update 3: VBS in the Village
Today, we returned to the village we installed the stoves and water filters last Saturday. We joined the staff at AVIS to do a VBS for the children in the community. It was a cool, rainy day but the school was full of kids and adults despite the muddy roads and cool temperatures. Our team jumped right in with a skit about the beautiful creation that God made and even had a chance to wear some costumes. We danced, sang songs of praise to God and some of our students taught the story of creation and shared the gospel with the group. We had a great time with the children and were grateful for the chance to proclaim the goodness and power of our God to about 100 kids and adults. We are prayerful that many would come to know the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ in this village as AVIS continues to minister and follow up with the families we met on this trip.
