East Africa Update 4: Men and Women of the Word

Today, we held the first ever women’s conference in the community while Nathanael led a pastor’s training with the men down the road. By the Lord’s grace, more than 80 faithful women in the community gathered today to worship, learn, and encourage each other. Our African sisters led us in worship and a teaching from Matthew 7:17-18 about bearing good fruit in our every work. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to share the Word with our African sisters, encouraging them in their faith and empowering them to continue studying the Word and investing in each other and in their community. We ended our time by singing the doxology, us in English and them in Swahili. It was a beautiful picture of the future when every tribe, tongue, and nation will be gathered before the throne of God, praising Him together. Thank God for a fruitful time of fellowship and worship today!
