East Africa Update 1: Travels and Introductions
Our team arrived safely after a long travel day. We had the gift of a good night sleep and woke up ready for the day. After a big brunch and a time of arranging supplies, we packed up the cars again, stopped at a market and then headed to the community where we will be for the rest of the week.
We ended the day with some of the Rejoice Project leaders and had a sweet time of getting to know one another, laughing and sharing stories. This is one of the joys of cross-cultural missions. We get to see the unity we have in Christ that transcends languages, cultures and circumstances. As we sat around a table sharing a large Kenyan meal, one of the Rejoice Project leaders shared his gratitude for that unity and the importance of working together as one body in Christ to see the gospel advance. What a grace it has already been to be with our brothers and sisters. We are excited for the full week ahead, sharing together in the work of Christ and seeing the gospel transform lives and whole communities for His glory!
